This was my first boys trip I’ve had in probably over a year. It was with a group that I’d never hiked with before, a mix of friends, and friends of friends.
Going on these types of trips with a group that you don’t know very well can have it’s problems. Group Dynamics always comes up in articles I read about trips – whether good or bad, and I was hoping that this one was going to make it a good trip. It worked out a treat
Snowshoe trips are awesome. They are cold. They are pretty. They get us into nature. Charity events are awesome too. They raise money for great causes in order to make this world a better place. How about combining the two? This is what I want to talk to you about.

On Saturday (26th Nov) Sam and I dropped our Swiss housemate Arno (of the Toblerone dynasty) in town before heading up to do the Hollyburn Mountain hike. This was a bit of a last minute decision for us.
